Following losing the previous week at Haverfordwest with a much-depleted side, last Saturday Pendine needed to have a win against Fishguard and Goowick, the next team to them in the Division One league table.
On a very hot and sunny day, following thunder rain the night before, the green looked well, but was rather heavy and both sides struggled at the start, with Fishguard seemingly adapting quicker to the conditions than Pendine.
Indeed, at the halfway tea-break, Fishguard were up on three rinks, but well down on rink two, providing a close overall score.
However, after tea, rink one raised their game to pull ahead, rink two stayed well up and both rinks three and four fought well to win and provide Pendine with a full house of 14 essential points.
