Last Friday, Penally Village Hall was filled with the sounds of laughter, clinking mugs of tea and plenty of rolling dice as the first meeting of TAG (Tabletop Adventure Gamers) took place.

Gamers of all ages, from seven to 70, turned up to enjoy a spot of modern board gaming and plenty of fun as new friendships and rivalries were formed across the table tops. People attending the event got to play games they had brought or borrowed something to play from the TAG gaming library, giving everyone the chance to learn new games and teach each other how to play their favourites.

Hot and cold drinks and biscuits kept everyone’s energy up to make the tactical, and often hilarious, choices that made each game unique and enjoyable. There were plenty of moments where gamers were on the edge of their seat over a certain dice roll or turn of the card and even more where fun decisions brought unexpected twists to a game.

The night was such a success that it has been decided to make it a regular event, meeting every other Friday. The next meeting of TAG will be on Friday, June 17, at 7 pm. TAG costs just £2 per person, but all first time visitors can enjoy their first session for free, so they can come and see what all the fun is about!
