Pupils from Penally VC School have had their work selected to feature in a book of poems.
Elliot Doney, Lucian Coates, Laura Auty, Ashleen McDaid, Holly Thomas, Liam McDaid, Alan Townsend, Laura Norris, Hannah Sines, Hattie D'Ortez, Daniel Brown and Christopher Edwards have had poems chosen for publication in a book, 'Poetic Voyages Tenby'.
Organised in conjunction with primary schools all over the UK, the aim of the Young Writers competition was to encourage children of all ages to read, write and enjoy poetry.
The poems selected for the book, which is scheduled for publication at the end of September, are those that express the best imagination, perception and use of language.
"The children have been keen, excited and thrilled by it all," commented class teacher, Mr. Graham Doney.
"They have written some super poems and I am really chuffed with them," he added.
