Each classroom at Penally School now boasts an interactive whiteboard that can be linked to the internet or latest computer teaching software thanks to the kind donations of local businesses and friends, Penally Training Camp and the school PTA.

The small innovative school, which is run on a traditional Christian ethos, had the second whiteboard installed last week in the infant class, so now all pupils can benefit on a daily basis.

"The interactive whiteboard is a fantastic tool for learning and with the help of parents we now have enough Tesco computer vouchers to purchase some very interesting software to complement the hardware," said acting head, Mr. Graham Doney.

"The substantial investment in this latest classroom technology will benefit pupils at Penally School for years to come," continued Mr. Doney

"We would like to thank Texaco Chevron, NatWest, Piper's Restaurant, Penally Army Camp, ex-caretaker Mrs. Ann Lloyd, and the school's PTA for assisting us in making the purchase in time for next September's intake of new pupils."
