There were plenty of activities at Penally School to mark World Book Day last Thursday.
Children - and staff - dressed up as their favourite literary characters, while activities included story-telling, a book swap, writing and illustrating a poem on Hoyles Mouth Cave and making bookmarks and little books of their own.
In a special link-up, pupils were also in contact with children in Denmark and Ireland via both e.mail and the telephone.
Treldevejens Skol in Denmark is part of Penally's tri-lateral link, along with St. Cananises in Resbercon, Ireland, and children at all three schools were undertaking the same activities throughout the day.
Penally class teacher, Mr. Graham Doney, was also at the school in Denmark to help out while on a tri-lateral link project meeting.
