Children at Penally VC School have been busy of late. For not only have they been taking part in Operation Christmas Child and been packing shoe boxes with gifts to be sent to underprivileged children in third world countries, but they have also presented Margaret Evans, of project co-ordinators Samaritans Purse, with a cheque for £110, which was raised as a result of an auction of harvest produce. Mrs. Evans is seen here receiving the donation from headteacher, Mrs. Julie Mathias. Also pictured are members of staff and pupils with their brightly-wrapped shoe boxes.
