The March meeting of Penally Mothers' Union took place during Holy Week. The leader, Dorothy Durdin, led the service.
In view of it being Holy Week, a speaker was invited who would reflect the solemnity of this week. The Rev. Ken Sharpe gave a truly inspirational devotional talk on the events, which happened during this time, from Monday to Wednesday evening, illustrating his talk with Biblical quotations.
All members were totally captivated by his words and all very much appreciated this talk at this important time in the Christian calendar.
After the talk, tea and refreshments were provided by Diana Lunn.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 24, when Diana Lunn and Iris Taylor will entertain with music and readings.
