St. Nicholas and St. Teilo Church, Penally, was the picturesque setting for the wedding on Saturday of Mr. Bennett Morley Diment and Miss Wendy Carolyn Norris.

The groom, a process engineer at Texaco, is the son of Roy and Sarah Diment, of Giltar Grove, Penally, while the bride, a legal executive with Lowless and Lowless, Tenby, is the daughter of Carolyn Norris and step-daughter of Terry Norris, of Two Hoots, Green Plains, Stepaside.

Given away by her step-father, the bride looked attractive in a pale pink/white gown with duchess satin pearl encrusted bodice and tulle skirt, which was again scattered with pearls. The whole ensemble was covered with a magnificent cloak in pink duchess satin and she also wore a pink tulle veil.

Bridesmaids were Kelly Norris (bride's sister), Rhian Nightingale (friend) and Anna Joseph (groom's cousin). Flower girl was Isobel Wright (bride and groom's god-daughter).

Best man was Jonathan Webb (friend), while the ushers were Lee Norris (bride's brother), Joe Diment (groom's brother), George Evans (groom's school friend) and Elliot Smith (groom's university friend).

The service was conducted by Canon David Jenkins. The organist was Dr. John Harrison.

A reception followed in a marquee at the home of the groom's parents, where the couple cut a magnificent cake made by the groom's mother, Mrs. Sarah Diment.

Following a honeymoon in Sardinia, the couple will make their home at Silver Birches, Penally, which has been built over the last two-and-a-half-years by the groom and his father.
