Members of St. Nicholas and St. Teilo's Church will this Sunday be taking a break, as they keep Lent. They are travelling together towards Good Friday and Easter. This Sunday they remember the importance and significance of their church being a home for everyone and their faith giving meaning to their lives. Last month's announcement in the Tenby Observer' that the February service would be full of surprises attracted much comment and interest. Team vicar Michael John helped the children to understand how God even surprises us. This Sunday, Mothering Sunday, we remember the rhyme that 'On Mother's Day, above all others, every child should dine with their mother'. In the service at 9.30 am the children will give posies to their mothers as a way of saying thank you for all home and family life. This is a service for the village community in Penally and everyone is welcome. We look forward to meeting everyone afterwards at 'The Coffee Stop'. On Wednesday, March 29, at 2.30 pm, in the Church Room, Penally MU are having a Mothers Union Special, led by Iris Taylor and Diana Lunn. The theme is 'Mothers' - an anthology in words and music, followed by tea and cakes. St. Mary's MU are joining us and anyone is most welcome.
