Canon David Jenkins, Tenby's Rector for the past 10 years, will be at Penally's church at 9.30 am on May 13. He will preside and preach at the Sung Eucharist, just as he has done in the past. He will be remembered best for his personal pastoral ministry, for which people are grateful. This is an opportunity to say goodbye and to give him and his wife Ellen best wishes and prayers as they leave at the end of May. Canon David Jenkins's visit comes at an important and significant time in the Rectorial Benefice. Penally church members are active and committed partners with the other four churches in the process of preparing for the future. It is an important time, too, for the church's celebration with others in 'The Penally Experience' over the weekend of May 26-28. There will be an exhibition of local arts and crafts, recitals by local music groups and soloists, an art exhibition (Village Hall); walks in historic Penally led by Steps2 Health, May 26, and National Parks Walks, May 27 and 28. Refreshments in Village Hall. A monster raffle in aid of church funds will be drawn on August 4 at the Village Flower Show. Watch this space for more details on May 25. Penally church's 'All Age' service is at 9.30 am on May 20, led by team vicar, Michael John, in a service young people will share and take part in.
