Tomorrow (Saturday) is the day eagerly looked forward to when Penally church's monster raffle will be drawn. In May, church members were inspired and challenged to think big, to go for it, take initiative, use their imagination, to encourage others to create 'The Penally Experience'. Described as a marvellous idea, over £1,300 was raised at various cultural events for the churchyard restoration. The target is £2,000. Mavis Lees and church members still have raffle tickets for sale. There are wonderful prizes. The draw will be made during the afternoon of Saturday, August 4, at Penally Village Craft and Flower Show. The show, with high quality produce, is regarded as one of the best in the area and the crowds will be swelled by those eager to discover whether they have one of the lucky tickets. This year's flower show will be the place to be.
