Thank you Delyth
On Christmas Eve morning, on behalf of St. Nicholas and St. Teilo's, the Rector, Canon David Jenkins, presented Delyth Hamblin with a potted azalea and a cheque saying thank you for her 10 years as organist at Penally and wishing her well for the future. Delyth also played for the very well attended Crib Service, marking the church's Christmas celebrations to which many visitors came and the children took part in telling the story of the Nativity, bringing their own crib figures to add to the crib in the beautifully decorated church.
New organist
Diana Lunn commenced her appointment as organist this month. A professional musician, she is a pupil of Dr. John Harrison and she sings in St. Mary's Church choir. She hopes to develop the music at Penally. She is also secretary of Tenby Arts Festival and with others is planning an adventurous programme and outreach locally for this year's festival in September.
Welcome to Inner Wheel
Penally Church welcomes Carwen Harry, president, and members of Tenby Inner Wheel this Sunday, at 9.30 am. The club recently celebrated its 60th birthday and members are united in service to others and friendship.
The church advances into 2007
When the church committee meets on Monday, January 15, they will share in the planning of the 'Penally Experience', an exhibition of local gifts and talents in the arts, crafts and music. The church will be welcoming people's ideas to make this a real celebration during the May Bank Holiday, May 26 -28.
