Mothers' Union members meet for their popular Christmas lunch on December 5. This year they break new ground as they cross the Penally bypass to The New Overlander Restaurant. Lunch is at 12.30 pm for 1 pm. It is always a highlight of the Mothers' Union year. Recently, members raised £70 for grocery provisions for a family holidaying in the Mothers' Union caravan at Kiln Park. They thank everyone for their support. Air Ambulance Wales
Penally Church social committee has again chosen Air Ambulance Wales as their charity to be supported at the Advent Lunch on December 7 at 12 noon in the Church Room, admission £3. The church is determined this year to reverse an unwelcome trend of declining support at the lunch which means charitable giving is less generous. On this occasion, church members are joined by people from the village who thoroughly enjoy being together over a simple lunch of cheeses, homemade rolls, selected pickles and fruit. It is felt such a meeting is important at a time of change in the village.
New Tenby Rector
Penally Church congregation have joined the other four churches in the Rectorial Benefice in welcoming the appointment of the Rev. Andrew Davies, parish priest of the Pembroke Dock group. He is married to Alison, with two daughters and three dogs. They hope to move to Tenby early in 2008. Penally Church is an active partner and contributor with the other churches in the Rectorial Benefice.
