Local resident, Mrs. Mary Ball celebrated her 90th birthday on Easter Day. She was welcomed at the start of the Easter Eucharist Service with 'Happy Birthday' sung by Penally Church Choir.
On Easter Monday in the Village Hall, Mary held a coffee morning for her friends in the community. This happy occasion was made possible by Mary's family, particularly her grandchildren.
Mary had requested no presents for herself, but contributions were gratefully accepted towards agriculture training for orphaned youngsters in Africa. This work is supported by the 'Send a Cow' charity. A magnificent £500.62p was raised.
