With six full tables this week, there was a lot of effort being made to find the best contract the cards could offer. Top place in this endevour went to Brenda Badham and Celia Rossiter with a rare 'Grand Slam' in no-trumps (against this unfortunate author) - well done ladies. Their overall score of 58.64 per cent, however, was only good enough for second place, well beaten by Christine Wilson and Mags Davies on 65.45. In third place were Kay Allen and Jo Davies on 57.73.
