Despite the appalling weather, again, enough players turned out to fill six tables.

A quick check of the results showed only three of the 22 boards were consistently bid to game, many of the remaining contracts went down, so perhaps all those complaints about the 'bad cards' were justified?

The pair who made the the most of everyone else's misery were Pam Evans and Lyn Lawson with 60 per cent, in second on 57.73 per cent were John and Mary Hodgeon, and in third with 56.82 per cent were Brenda Badham and Celia Rossiter.
