Nine pairs braved the wind and rain this week to play 27 hands of duplicate. There were no slams this time, but awkward to bid hands, resulted in many contracts going down and much waving of the double card.

Our top pair certainly coped better than the rest; with a stunning score of 70.63 per cent were Pam Evans and Lyn Lawson. In second on 64.29 were Mary Jones and Jan Russell and in third place on 55.56 were Mike Taylor and Mags Davis.
