After welcoming the return of John and Sue Read, Derek Thomas was re-appointed as the club's representative on the hall committee, followed by the director announcing an invitation luncheon bridge party at the Overlander at 12 noon on December 17, which was well received.

Then we got on with enjoying a full five-table movement and the result was (rather predictably): 1. Mary Jones and Jan Russell, 68 per cent; 2. Celia Rossiter and Brenda Badham, 67; 3. Kay Allen and Mo Poole, 55 per cent.
