On Sunday, 20 members of the Pembrokeshire Group of The Ramblers met in Dyffryn for a seven-mile walk. The weather forecast was not too promising, but Pembrokeshire turned up trumps and they enjoyed a beautiful day in the September sunshine.
After a gentle climb via woodland and field paths, they paused for lunch at Carn Gelli, taking in the stunning views laid out before them in all directions.
The walk continued to Llanwnda, pausing at the nearby Neolithic burial chamber. Then they headed east to view another cromlech near Goodwick, together with the take-off site for the (somewhat more recent) first flight from Wales to Ireland by Denys Corbett Wilson in 1912.
From there, it was downhill almost all the way on their return to Dyffryn.
