On Saturday, July 21, Pembroke Leisure Centre will host the second running of the Pembrokeshire's Tristars Junior Triathlon. The races are organised by the Tristar section of Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club Tristars is the name given to junior triathletes aged from eight to 14. On the day, races of differing distances over the three disciplines of swimming, cycling and running for the four age groups will be held. The races will be well marshalled, with all the necessary safety precautions taken care of. The races are sanctioned and run under the British Triathlon Association rules for Children's Triathlon Events. Pembrokeshire Tristars, established just over a year ago has over 70 members, hold training sessions every Friday evening at 5.30 pm on the running track of Sir Thomas Picton School, Haverfordwest. If you are a budding Tristar, you will be made very welcome at the training session. The closing date for entry is tomorrow (Saturday).
