Tenby and County Club (sponsored by LG Leisure and Get Stuffed Pizza Co.) played host to Balfour Club from Haverfordwest on Monday evening and were 3-2 losers.

The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play Terry McBride. Glyn was up against it from the start and soon found himself 40 points behind. He rallied midway through, but eventually lost on the blue.

The second frame saw Mark Cleevely take on Alan Griffiths. Initially, Mark struggled to find any rhythm, but he eventually got going, only for his opponent to make a fight of it all the way. It was Mark who prevailed on the final black, however.

The third frame saw Dave Wooles play Paul Harries. Dave was soon behind after some good potting by the Balfour man. However, Dave is nothing short of a battler, keeping going to the end, and when his opponent went in-off the black, he handed the frame to the Tenby man.

Frame four saw Kevin James play Anthony Griffiths. Kevin was unlucky to lose on the black last week, so was out to avenge that defeat. He started well, but his opponent was no mug and was potting some good balls, leaving Kevin nothing. As the game got to the colours, Kevin was 12 points behind, but he potted most of them to leave yet another black ball game - which he lost (unlucky).

The last frame saw Darren Morgan play Ray Hoare. Darren is unbeaten so far this season and was keen to keep this going. As the frame got to colours, Darren was five points up and as it got to the pink and black, he was still just ahead, needing the pink to win. Again the frame went to the black, however, which the Tenby man lost.
