Tenby and County Club (sponsored by L. G. Leisure and Get Stuffed Pizzas) played away on Monday evening to Hook and were 4-1 winners.

The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play D. Francis. Once again, and for the fourth week running, Glyn was never in trouble, potting well and winning comfortably.

The second frame saw Mark Cleevely take on J. Davies. Keen to keep his 100 per cent record intact, Mark started slowly, but soon got going with some solid pots and continued in this vein throughout the frame. His opponent would not lie down, however, and came back to push him all the way to the black, only to unluckily go in off and hand Mark the frame.

The third frame saw Steve Cook take on L. James. Steve, another Tenby player keen to keep his 100 per cent record intact, started well and was never in trouble, winning probably his easiest game to date.

The fourth frame saw Dave Wooles play R. Cox. Dave, having had a bad start to the season, has improved vastly of late, winning his last game comfortably, and is now beginning to flow. He started cautiously (as he normally does), but was soon amongst the balls, potting well.

But like previous weeks, his game became scrappy and his confidence was waning (can he still pull it out of the bag?). As the frame got to the brown, Dave found himself eight points down, and the situation got worse as he needed a snooker with just pink and black left. Not to worry, he then produced a well executed snooker and took the last two balls to win a nail-biter on the black!

The last frame saw Martin Durham play V. Davies. Martin, another player with a 100 per cent record, was visibly tired from an early work shift, but he started well, determined to keep his record intact.

As the frame progressed, Martin was the stronger player, but he was not having it all his own way, as his opponent was pushing him hard. By the time it got to the colours, Martin was 14 points adrift, but he reduced the deficit to just four as they reached the blue. The game was proving very edgy, with neither player prepared to make a mistake, and perhaps predictably, it went to the black, which unfortunately Martin didn't take.

Tenby's victory, meanwhile, means they are now the only unbeaten team in all four divisions of the Blands Pembrokeshire Snooker League.
