Tenby County Club (sponsored by LG Leisure) played host to the Waterloo Club from Hakin this week and were 3-2 losers. The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies step up and, not surprisingly, he drew their best player Keri Hughes. Nevertheless, Glyn produced some excellent snooker, only to make too many mistakes at the end and eventually lose on the pink. The second frame saw Paul Harris take to the table against Defan Hughes. Paul started well, potting a good long red. Indeed, having not played for two weeks, he seemed more determined than ever. As the game progressed, he edged into the lead, which eventually grew bigger and biger as he ran out a comfortable winner. The third frame saw Martin Durham take on M. Hartley. Martin started slowly, as he usually does, but this time he didn't wake up in time and was well beaten. Fourth on was the in-form Steve Cook against Geraint Hughes. Steve has been in good nick lately and, after a slow but steady start, took firm control with breaks of 20 and 27 to seal a comfortable win. The last frame saw Mark Cleevely take on Aidey Slade. Mark was unlucky last week and needed a win to regain his confidence. He started well with a solid red and continued to play a good game, but was three behind coming to the pink... which unfortunately he left on, to finally lose a close encounter.
