Letterston remain top of the main section of the Station Garage (Hyundai) Pembrokeshire Short Mat Bowls League after continuing their impressive unbeaten start to the season. Freystrop were the visitors this week and Letterston duly won 6-2.
Hook move up into second place after defeating Tabernacle 8-0, although the doubles of Jane and John Jones played their part in a thrilling doubles match.
Phoenix entertained Welfare, winning the singles and doubles comfortably, losing the triples and winning closely in the rink.
Penally took on Narberth and won convincingly 6-2, with the shots being 51-27 in their favour.
Tavernspite won their first league game of the season against East Williamston by 5-3.
In the Presidents, Hook maintained their position with a 7-1 victory at East Williamston A, with the triples of Dot Banner, Eileen Hughes and Marilyn Gardner being in fine form.
Greenhill ended Merlins Bridge's undefeated run, beating the Bridge 5-3, with H. Meades being on top form in the singles.
Welfare scored a fine victory over Phoenix with a 7-1 win, while Tabernacle A took on Tavernspite and went down 6-2, Joan Davies and Sheila Lewis picking up the Tabernacle's points.
Tab B fared better when they entertained Crundale and gained four points, Michael Townley winning in the singles and that in-form rink of Rose, Nicky, Mary and Leslie Ann getting the points.
Letterston played Greenhill in a re-arranged fixture and ended up all square, while Freystrop played host to East Williamston B and picked up a 6-2 win.
