The finds of the month winners for June were as follows: coins pre 1649 - Philip IV silver cob 1625 (Steve Richards); coins 1649 onwards - Queen Victoria sixpence 1889 (Steve Richards); ancient artefacts - 17th century silver ring thimble (Steve Richards); modern finds - apothecary weight 1878 (Josie Thomas); finds outside Pembrokeshire - 16/ 17th century crotal bell (Ted Owen); club search - 16/17th century casket pot leg (Alan Grice). A club search was held in fields at Nevern, with 30 members attending. There were many finds of interest and everyone enjoyed not only the search, but some lovely weather and beautiful scenery. The club membership is now at full strength. However, guests are welcome to attend meetings, which are held on the first Thursday of every month at Haverfordwest Cricket Club at 8 pm.
