This month the Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church goes to the Apostolic Church, Station Road, Pembroke.
The meeting starts at 7.30 pm this Tuesday. It will include a combination of slideshow presentations, open prayer and small practical tasks to help combat incidents of persecution and suffering of Christians worldwide.
News is always up-to-date and person-focused, making effective prayer and action easier, and real solutions have frequently been seen.
Although fund raising has not been a major focus of PPSC, supporters have now succeeded in raising £9,000 towards a suitable vehicle for Sharing Life Ministries, Pakistan. Together with £1,000 given by a church elsewhere in the country this now meets the target of £10,000, and preparations have been made for handing over the cheque.
The organisers of PPSC are keen for all local churches to benefit from this simple but important ministry. Rev. Peter Richmond, of Hesed Christian Fellowship, said:
"We do hope that you and members of your fellowship will be able to attend, and be encouraged to bring back news of simple practical actions that everybody can get involved in that really make a difference."
