Pembrokeshire notched up the double over the South Wales Cricket Association after defeating the Association by three wickets at Pwll. The South Wales team scored 196 for four in their 45 overs. Stuart Goddard, of Llangennech, led the South Wales run scoring with 61, backed up by 40 from Ashley Pass and 27 by Wales Minor Counties player Andrew Beasley. County skipper Nick Dyer, of Haverfordwest, took two for 16 in nine overs for the visitors. The visitors were in charge with the total on 173 without loss. In a superb opening partnership, William Beresford, of Llangwm, scored 87 and Cresselly opener Phil Williams scored 71. However, Nicky Maggs, of Ynysygerwyn, caused a collapse with a four for 30 spell, until Phil Kirby, of Haverfordwest, and Lawrenny skipper Steve Lewis steered the County to a three wickets win as the pair took the visitors to a winning total of 200 for seven.
