Three Pembrokeshire young cricketers Ceri Brace, of Carew, Andrew Salter, of St. Ishmaels and Ashley Sutton, of Neyland, represented the Wales Under 13 team on their recent tour in England. The three boys played against Staffordshire at Wolverhampton Cricket Club, Nottinghamshire at Mansfield, and Yorkshire at Treeton. Wales have won the first two fixtures and were well set to win the game against Yorkshire having reduced the home team to 79 all out. This was an excellent achievement against quality opposition. Unfortunately, the weather intervened against Yorkshire and the game was abandoned. The three Pembrokeshire young cricketers each contributed with both bat and ball and enjoyed the experience of representing Wales on tour. Ceri Brace, of Carew, comes from a strong cricketing pedigree, as his parents Caryl and Gareth are both keen Carew cricketers.
