Smaller companies from across Pembrokeshire have the opportunity to meet with key decision makers from major, private sector companies at a 'Meet the Buyer' event on November 19.
Organised in conjunction with PBI (Pembrokeshire Business Initiative), Welsh Development Agency and Pembrokeshire County Council, the event will be held in the County Pavilion, The Showground, Haverfordwest.
Some of the largest businesses operating in the county will have their key procurement personnel available to source goods and services from local Pembrokeshire suppliers.
Oakwood, Chevron Texaco, Stena Line, S. A. Brain and Co. Ltd., Clynderwen and Cardiganshire Farmers Ltd., Consort Equipment Products Ltd., D. P. S. Aerospace, Ledwood Mechanical Engineering Ltd., and the Total Milford Haven Refinery have confirmed their attendance, along with Heatherton and The Milford Docks Company who have recently joined, offering a diverse range of procurement requirements.
The latter manage several divisions, including Pembroke Port and Ferry Port, Milford Haven Ship Repairs, Marine and Port Services, Milford Docks and Marina and the Phoenix Bowl.
Each buyer has provided details of their areas of interest, which will be used to assist suppliers in preparing for their appointments.
Potential suppliers wishing to attend can obtain a registration form from Karen Dancey of event management company, Strategic Marketing.
Apply by e-mailing [email protected]">[email protected], or telephone 02920 303100.
There is a nominal £50 (plus VAT) charge for attendance to cover the costs for the day.
This event follows on from the successful public sector 'Meet The Buyer' event organised earlier in the year.
Mark Falzon, of Haven Colourprint, commented: "The 'Meet the Buyer' days are a great way of initiating relationships with key potential customers.
"You can meet up to 10 relevant prospects during each session, so it's great value for money and worthwhile as part of the sales activity of any company keen to grow."
