Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure and Get Stuffed Pizza) played away at Eddie's Club in Haverfordwest on Monday evening and were 3-2 winners.

The first frame saw Mark Cleevely play B. Devonald. Mark started the stronger, opening up a small lead early on, only for his opponent to claw his way back into it.

Mark then started to pot some good balls, to extend his lead once again, but mid-frame things began to get a bit messy and he found himself only two points up as they got to the colours.

Mark then potted yellow and green to lead by seven points and when a foul by his opponent presented him with another opportunity, he took it to wrap up what had been a scrappy frame.

The second frame saw Tony Thomas take on P. Mannering. Playing only his second match for Saundersfoot, Tony started cautiously, but was potting reasonably well and, as the frame got to the colours, he found himself four points to the good.

After that, however, things began to go wrong and by the time they got to the blue he was 20 points adrift and needing a snooker, which unfortunately he didn't get.

The third frame saw Steve Cook play L. Edwards. Steve has been struggling of late and he started slowly in this frame, but judging by the expression on his face, he was determined to win,

He opened his account with a 26 break and he now appeared to be cruising. In previous weeks, he has let his opponent back in, but this didn't happen this time as he went on to win comfortably.

The fourth frame saw Glyn Davies play R. Thomas. Glyn started slowly (as normal) and continued to play awful, but somehow mid-frame he got his act together and powered his way to an unassailable lead to seal victory.

The final frame saw Darren Morgan play E. Roberts. Darren started well, opening up a good early lead, which he continued to keep - until the colours, that is, when he imploded to lose a game he should have won.
