Tenby County Club (sponsored by L. G. Leisure) played host to Eddies on Monday evening and were 4-1 losers. The first frame saw Mark Cleevely step up. Mark started slowly, but rallied in the middle of the frame, but his opponent was clearly having the run of the balls, with some outrageous luck, and Mark eventually lost on the pink. The second frame saw Glyn Davies take to the table. This was a good potting affair, with both players sinking some excellent balls, but it was Glyn's opponent who finally won through on the pink. The third frame saw Dave Wooles step up (thanks must go to Dave for stepping in at short notice and travelling all the way from Narberth). Dave matched his opponent all the way, but a couple of loose shots eventually saw him lose the frame, again on the pink. The fourth frame saw Steve Cook take to the table. Steve was cool, calm and collected, even though the team had already lost 3-0 by then, so it was all about gaining some frames and some points. Steve didn't disappoint, winning well. The last frame saw Darren Morgan step up. It was now damage limitation for Tenby, but Darren started badly and soon found himself 40 behind. After that, he was always chasing the game, and in the end was well beaten. NB. Get well soon to star player, Martin Durham, who was absent through ill health.
