Two local schools are among facilities in Pembrokeshire set to benefit from the Big Lottery Fund grant scheme.
This month the Big Lottery Fund are supporting 71 communities in Wales with £562,653 in grants.
The National Lottery Awards for All programme is for community groups applying for £300 to £10,000 and these grants are possible thanks to players of the National Lottery.
Several of the applications really impressed the committee with their determination to put the views of the community at the heart of their project.
Ysgol Hafan Y Mor in Tenby will provide an outdoor timber trail and fitness park to encourage the whole community to be more active and healthy, after the facility was awarded a grant for £9,436.
Saundersfoot CP School will use the grant to provide play equipment for pupils, and children from the surrounding area, with a grant of £10,000 funding artificial grass and shock tiles, as well as the play equipment.

“The Big Lottery Fund is committed to offering the funding which communities really need, and the only way to know that for sure is to ask them.
“It’s great to see projects coming through which are taking this seriously and are genuinely putting the people who will use the project right at the heart of designing it.
“We are even more impressed when they will be involved in delivering the project as well.”
Other projects in the area set to benefit include West Wales Action For Mental Health which will use a grant of £9,995 to establish a ‘Service User Forum’ to bring together people who have experiencedmental health issues from Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.
SEREN in Pembrokeshire will use a grant of £10,000 to provide specialist counselling to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Sand Palace Arts will use a grant of £5,000 to deliver a programme of free arts workshops at The Stackpole Walled Gardens throughout August, to encourage community interaction, with the grant funding - workshop leaders, workshop materials, planningand administration costs, marketing,publicity, design and printing, and translation.
