Local businesswoman and entrepreneur, Karen Murray has written her first book, 'Live and Learn ....then Live Again!'

The Pembrokeshire launch was last Saturday at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel in Narberth, with the after-party held there also. The party was fabulous with good food, excellent company and lots of snowballs fights for the children!

Karen said: "A few years back, if someone had told me that by the time I was 40, I would have written and published a book, then I would probably have laughed!

"The idea came to me last January, and the writing began in earnest in the spring. The whole process has been such an exciting journey for me and my family!

"On Saturday, we were delighted that so many people came to celebrate with us, braving the weather, and in some cases travelling very long distances to join us."

Karen continued: "This book is about human potential, personal development and human behaviour. If you are unhappy with any part of your life as it currently is and you want to change it, then this book is a must-read!

"You see, not so long ago, I was unhappy with every aspect of my life, and I desperately wanted to change it all. A string of disasters both personally and professionally led me on a huge journey to find answers, and I discovered 'why' all of this had happened. It was my own thoughts, actions and my ignorance of the Laws of the Universe, particularly the Law of Attraction that was the root cause.

"The fact is, that, 'what we think about, we eventually become', so everything that you have or do not have in your life is the result of your own thoughts and actions too!

"If you want to change something about you, or your life, then it's crucial to take full and total responsibility for yourself, and also for where you are in your life right now - and that's tough, really tough! It's tough because you have to step out of the 'blame-game', that is, stop blaming other people, the economy, your job, your education, your family upbringing or whatever or whoever, for what's wrong in your life. A real-life 'reality check' is at best uncomfortable and at times extremely painful, not to mention confusing and totally frustrating!"

Karen explained: "My book will take you on a journey of self-discovery, allowing you to understand why you are the way you are, and how you have created your current 'reality'! It delves into the enigma of human behaviour answering all those questions you have ever had about yourself and other people, how you are built, and why you behave as you do! It looks at your relationships, and the roles you choose to play in them.

"This book equips you with tools and ideas that will totally transform the way you interact with others. It explores the workings of your mind from when you were first born, through childhood and young adulthood, up until the present day, checking out your environment, what you are listening to and who you are spending most of your time with - you see, all of these things have a major impact on your current life experience as you know it! It talks about why change is so difficult to implement, and explores that deathly arena known as the comfort zone!"

But most importantly, Karen's book teaches you the concept of purposeful thinking allowing you to fundamentally change and alter the course of your life.

Karen added: "Had I not discovered these ideas and this information when I did, I would have been on a fast track to 'self-destruct' - that's how critical and life changing these concepts truly are!

"The question is 'Are you ready to take responsibility for yourself?' because when it comes to change, then the only person you can change is you! If you are ready, then you will be guided through a step-by-step process that works and lasts, with phenomenal results!

"I look back three years ago, and the old Karen Murray is quite definitely dead and gone. The new Karen Murray is barely recognisable - thankfully! I feel truly blessed and I live everyday in gratitude for all the wonderful people that I share my life with, most of all, my children and my family. So, to finish up, the next time someone tells you that life begins at 40 - believe them, because it's true!"
