An amber warning for heavy rainfall remains in effect for Pembrokeshire until 9pm tonight, with widespread flooding reported and further alerts issued for across the county. A flood warning is also expected for the River Ritec around Tenby.

Flood alerts have been issued by Natural Resources Wales in Pembrokeshire. With rainfall amount of 40 to 60mm, falling on saturated ground, widespread flooding is reported across the road network.

Wales has received over 44% more rainfall than average as of Saturday.

Pembrokeshire County Council is reporting that the B4318 at Gumfreston is closed due to flooding’ woth roads impacted by surface water flooding reported at: the A4139, Tenby to Jameston (flooded at Crackwell).

The B4330 at Crowhill, Haverfordwest by the bridge is very deep and may require closure with the Western Cleddau river levels still rising.

A spokesperson for PCC said: “Our teams are busy responding to requests based on priority and resources available.

“Other roads around the county will be affected by surface water flooding, especially around hotspots, making road conditions hazardous. Please take care when driving and drive to the conditions.

“Rivers are continuing to respond to the rainfall and levels are continuing to rise.”
