Pembrokeshire County Council will be carrying out maintenance in an attempt to mitigate flooding and road access issues at the coastal village of Amroth, with another potential stormy season just around the corner.

At the recent meeting of Amroth Community Counci, the matter was raised under an agenda item to discuss and resolve asset and ward maintenance issues and transport around the ward.

When discussing Amroth sea front, and the potential for drains to become blocked once again during the winter period, councillors heard that PCC will be trialling drain covers with smaller grates in an effort to prevent pebbles and trash blocking water exit during storms, in part of an effort to protect the road for the village.
