PEMBROKE is having its first exciting action-packed 10-day festival, celebrating the town's rich culture and heritage from September 5 to 14.
There will be something for all tastes and ages, open-air concerts, street entertainers, community art, music and dance and medieval crafts, culminating in a grand finale on the Quay with a spectacular 'son et lumiere'.
Pembroke Castle is celebrating the event with a Medieval Banquet in the castle grounds.
Fine food will be served between interludes of music played by La Volta, a Pembroke-based group playing authentic instruments dating as far back as the 13th century.
The evening will end with a Mummers play performed by the East End Flyover Company.
The banquet is planned for Wednesday, September 10. Tickets are £20, to include a welcome drink, and can be obtained from the castle on (01646) 684585 or 681510.
