Next week, Pembroke will become the first area to be targeted under the Tidy Towns scheme.
The week of events will be launched at Pembroke Town Hall at 11 am on Monday, October 13.
Throughout the week, volunteers from community groups, schools and youth clubs will be rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty to clean-up in and around Pembroke.
The week of events has been scheduled to coincide with the previously successful Not in my Neighbourhood Week which is currently used as a best practice guide.
The nationwide Tidy Towns initiative supports the people of Wales to improve the quality of their local environment and to take pride in the community where they live.
Keep Wales Tidy and Pembrokeshire County Council are working in partnership with a number of local organisations and community groups to deliver a number of projects.
It is not too late to join in, under the supervision of Keep Wales Tidy, and they are looking for more volunteers to help with the following clean-ups: Wednesday, October 15 at 10 am - clean-up of woodland area at Devon Drive, Pembroke; Thursday, October 16 at 2 pm - beach clean at Freshwater West.
