The Sahara, Antartica and Gobi deserts will soon be crossed by Lucy Bulkeley with the help of a donation from Pembroke Rotary Club.
Members of the club recently voted to donate £100 towards her travelling expenses as she walks across the three deserts to raise funds for the Macmillan Nurses.
During the same meeting, it was also decided to donate £210 to the Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics squad for the training of an instructor; £500 to the Ancorage Centre, Pembroke Dock, to fund the cost of their annual concert; and £100 to the Mary Gadam Trust, which funds a children's home in India.
