There was a large attendance at the recent meeting of Pembroke Regeneration and Enhancement Committee. All volunteer groups in the community were present which is vital to push projects forward.
Everyone can see significant progress during the last year on improving the town's appearance with the free painting scheme. There is also work to be done shortly on repainting street furniture and lamp posts in the town.
As previously reported, the aim is also to encourage water-based activities on the Castle Pond. To that end, guests will attend the next meeting to advise.
The new floral sub-committee, which is aiming to enhance and add to floral troughs and planting around the town and Pembroke station, have also met with Arriva Trains, who have been very supportive. The floral sub-committee next meet after the Regeneration and Enhancement Committee on December 6.
The Regeneration and Enhancement Committee welcome positive suggestions and involvement from all residents in the town. The committee and chair, Clr.
