The Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Aden Brinn, along with the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress, Clr. Keith and Karen Nicholas, and fellow councillors from Pembroke Town Council recently paid a visit to Pembroke in Malta, as part of initial steps to establish contact between the two respective communities in the name of international relations.
During the visit, the party from Wales met civic dignitaries and attended a number of meetings and functions.
Together with the Mayor of Pembroke, Malta, Clr. Joe Zammit, Clr. Brinn is now working on the initiative of an Association or Federation of Pembrokes Worldwide with a view to organising a conference with the relevant Mayors or chairmen attending from other Pembrokes.
Some of the Pembrokeshire contingent also took part in a Fun Run from their hotel in St. Julians to the council offices in Pembroke, raising the sum of £315.36 for the Mayor's charities, and thanks are extended to everyone who sponsored the runners.
