RNLI cheque presentation/New members night

At various club events throughout the year, opportunities are taken to generate contributions to the RNLI. These are then rolled up into a yearly donation which is formally made to members of the Angle lifeboat team who are invited to the clubhouse.

Thus, on Saturday, three lifeboatmen were treated to a free bar and buffet for the presentation of a £750 cheque with our thanks for their underpinning safety-net for our seafaring activities.

The event doubled as a new members' social night and convivial music was supplied by the Angle Stompers, very kindly playing for free, enabling £39 profit from a raffle and jewellery sale to kick-off next year's contribution.

This all made for a very enjoyable social night on a blustery autumn evening.

Thanks to all who contributed to a great buffet.
