Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir, so well- known for their charity fund-raising efforts, will once again be giving their support to a very worthy cause tomorrow (Saturday) at 7 pm in the Tabernacle Chapel, Main Street, Pembroke.

The beneficiaries this year will be Pembroke Scouting who are presently helping to raise funds for the Scouting Centenary Movement 2007.

Aficionados of the annual concert will know very well that this is a major event in Pembroke Festival week and one not to be missed at any cost.

Audiences at previous sell out concerts have heard the Three Tenors and Three Basses totally overwhelm their musical pleasure sensors with the power and quality only the very best of artists are able to produce.

Major artists are always supported in the concert by P&DMVC, and whenever possible, young local musical talent is also invited to perform. The concert gives a platform of opportunity to young performers to demonstrate publicly the quality and skill they possess, and in so doing are able to demonstrate the depth of talent and expertise that exists in the musical departments of our local schools.

For this concert, the choir warmly welcomes Lee Mottram, clarinettist, a Pembroke boy, and currently studying at Greenhill School, Tenby. This concert also sees the welcome return of a very firm favourite with local audiences and a major artist in his own right in the figure of tenor Trebor Edwards. Trebor always receives the warmest of welcomes in Pembroke, as a Son of Wales, and as one of the finest of tenor voices in the tradition of Welsh Song. This is a treat not to be missed and as tickets are going fast it is advisable to be quick! Inquiries at Pembroke Town Hall or from choir members for tickets at £7 may bear fruit if you are very lucky!
