Following the success of the three pilot Farmers Markets held in Pembroke over recent weeks, Pembroke 21C Community Association and its partners are continuing with the markets in Pembroke Town Hall every two weeks.

Fourteen producers have already attended the market and indicated their keenness to continue on a regular basis. With a range of locally produced meat, fruit and vegetables, plants, eggs, cheese, ice cream, honey and home-baked goods, the market is proving increasingly popular with local people and visitors alike.

Chair of the Pembroke and Angle Peninsula Chamber of Trade and Tourism, Gareth Jones, said: "We are delighted with the response to the Farmers Market and that it is going to continue. The move to the Town Hall for the winter months will give the partners time to evaluate the response so far, look for a permanent site and apply for funding to sustain the market in the long term."

The next market will be tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 am to 1 pm in Pembroke Town Hall. The markets, run in partnership with the Chamber of Trade and Pembroke and District Country Markets, will be held fortnightly from thereon.
