Pembroke Dock young firefighters are helping their local community by helping to generate home fire safety checks.

Each young firefighter has been tasked with securing three HFSC's, one for their own home, and another two which can be for close friends or family.

They also get involved with performing the HFSC's under the strict supervision of professional firefighters.

In one night, over 10 lifesaving smoke alarms were fitted. Well done to all who were involved and keep up the good work!

Elaine Williams, youth development officer, said: "Helping others is what the fire service is all about, and nowhere is this more apparent than in our young firefighter scheme. What has been achieved in Pembroke Dock is just another great example of our young firefighters going out into the community and making a difference."
