Friday, December 9, saw a gap in the wind and rain that enabled the Pembroke Dock Festival Group to hold the fifth Mid Winter Festival with a lantern parade themed around the 12 days of Christmas.
Over 270 people had made over 180 lanterns in the six- week run-up to the event, with the help of Pip and Guy from Spacetocreate Community Arts, Sarah and Jackie from Pembroke Dock Festival Group and Sarah, Jane and Chris from Llanion Communities First.
Over 800 people attending on the night enjoyed a fire show, music from Vagrants Crew and Samba Doc.
When the parade arrived at Western Way, the town band greeted the parade with Cleddau FM.
Santa made an appearance just before the grand firework display.
The event was supported by Llanion Communities First, Alstom, Bush and Park Tenants and Residents Association and Pembroke Dock Town Council.
If you would like to get involved with the Pembroke Dock Festival group, please get in touch with Sarah or Jane on 0845 345 5031.
Thank you to all who supported the workshops and the parade and to everyone who turned out to make it such a spectacular event.
