A Pembroke Dock man, charged with causing criminal damage to a property in Fishguard, had his case adjourned for a week by Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday.

Twenty-one-year-old Adam Michael Shaw, of Water Street, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before the magistrates.

The prosecution told the court that at around 8 pm on February 1, a witness to the case was disturbed by loud banging, when a male wearing a black hoodie was seen shouting outside a property in Garn Las, Fishguard, and kicking a door.

After it was pointed out to the male in question, who turned out to be Mr. Shaw, that the person he was trying to contact resided at the premises next door, he duly started kicking that property's door and shouting that the person inside owed him a 'tenner'.

Mr. Shaw was arrested by police after smashing a bottom window of the property, although he claimed that the window was already broken when he arrived.

Magistrates adjourned the case until March 6, as Mr. Shaw was already due to appear in court on other charges, including criminal damage, theft and a drugs matter.
