Division One

Cresselly have a 10 points lead at the top of the Division One table of the Nicholas Insurance Pembroke County Cricket League despite being unable to secure a win at Lawrenny (122-9).

Before tea Cresselly (175-6) were indebted to the in form Adam Chandler (55), Simon Cole (36) and wicket-keeper Neilson Cole.

Although Adrian Harries and Brad Jenkins both scored 35, Richard Harris (3-28) played a key role. All of the Cresselly bowlers provided support and after a middle order collapse Lawrenny put up the shutters.

St Ishmaels (141 all out) started strongly at Carew with solid batting from the dependable Andrew Williams (49) and Andrew Palmer (43).

The visitors were well placed at 102-2, but some light squalls later in the innings coincided with a squall of wickets after impressive bowling by Martin Scourfield (5-47), who made his slower ball count and leg-spinner Ceri Brace (3-33).

Excellent batting by Ian Sefton (36), Nick Scourfield (46no) and stroke player Tom Richards (50no) gave Carew their second win of the season as they cruised to 142-1.

Whitland have moved into second place in the Division One table with a 27 runs win over a much fancied Neyland team.

In a low scoring match at Neyland, the visitors Cresselly Seconds were down and out at 16-6.

In a match descried by Cresselly Skipper Steve Davies as an "unbelievable game", the Cresskill bowlers did well to hold the Neyland team to 96-6, with Ian Milson (21) the pick of the batsmen.

Young leg-spinner Scott Jones took 6-18 as Cresselly wickets tumbled, but the visitors recovered from a dreadful start through a last wickets partnership of 61 between Richard Arthur (34no) and Edward James (27no) to gain a one wicket win with a total of 99-9.

Division Five

Too strong for sides in Division Six last season, St Clears appear to be in the same position in Division Five this year. Although Narberth (106 all out) looked for the runs with the experienced Rob Simons (30) holding things together penetrative bowling by Andrew Phillips (4-7) and Filgi Varghese (3-12) resulted in the Narberth team losing by 18 runs.

Division Six
