Pembroke Castle is gearing up for its Rock The Castle concert tomorrow (Saturday, September 21).
The Counterfeit Stones will headline with strong support acts such as the Illegal Eagles, Loose Change and Ella Guru throughout the afternoon and evening.
Nearly 3,000 are expected to attend and although there are now a couple of hundred tickets remaining Castle Manager Jon Williams is confident of selling out.
Jon explained "We have had to stop our online ticket sales now, but tickets will be available to buy from Pembroke Castle Gift Shop which is open from 10 am to 5 pm every day. Although once the tickets have gone we will just have to put up the sold out sign."
The castle will also be operating a free park and ride service from Bush Comprehensive School to the Castle entrance. It will start at 1.30 pm and will run to the Castle until 6 pm and it will make return journeys from 9-11 pm.
Castle management would also like to let concertgoers aware that the Holyland Road into Pembroke on the A4075 will be closed throughout Saturday, however there will be a diversion in place that will take travellers via Bush Road.
Pembroke Castle would also like to remind those attending that because of the number attending and the nature of the event there is a restriction on bringing in any food, drink, seating or gazebos. There will be various food outlets available and a large bar to cater for the crowds. Event seats will be available to hire for only £1 per seat per day.
The concert is being staged to mark 40 years from the day that the Rolling Stones were planning to play Pembroke Castle in 1973.
The Borough Council refused them permission, but 40 years later The Castle Trust decided that it would be fun to re-enact what could have been and have booked the world's best Rolling Stones tribute band The Counterfeit Stones.
Tickets are £16 in advance and £20 on the day of the event. Gates will open at 2 pm and the event is scheduled to end at 10 pm. For further details, visit http://www.pembrokecastle.co.uk">www.pembrokecastle.co.uk
