It was the Station B who set the questions for the latest round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock LVA Quiz League on a night that saw Cosh Brewery close the gap on the two Station sides at the top of the league table.
In fact, the Brewery team were the night's highest scorers with their emphatic 24-point victory at home over the faltering Station A in a game where the home team led from the start and, unlike the night when they visited the Station A, they didn't collapse in round six.
The closest result of the round was at the Naval Club, where the visiting Charlton A trailed the home side throughout the first five rounds, at one point by as much as 17 points, to come good in round six and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat by just two points.
Bottom side Alma B put up a valiant effort at the First and Last, but the home team prevailed in the end, whilst at the Alma, the A side were involved in a last round nail-biting finish against the Oak; luckily they remembered the year Channel 4 came on air, to take the points.
At the St. Govan's Inn, the visitors were the Golf Club, who left convincing winners, whilst the St. Govan's B travelled to the Charlton to play their B team, who again struggled and went down by 19 points.
These results strangely mean the Station A return to the top of the league on round points scored, even after a disastrous loss, with the Station B dropping to second, both on 33 points, but now closely followed by Cosh Brewery on 31, while the Charlton A consolidate their position in third on 27, with First and Last on 25 and the Alma A and Oak on 21.
The week's full results were: Cosh Brewery 80, Station A 56; First and Last 66, Alma B 58; Naval Club 64, Charlton A 66; Alma A71, Oak 63; Charlton B 47, St. Govan's B 66 and St. Govan's A 52, Golf Club 71.
