A road traffic collision on the A4139 Penally bypass during the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning is being investigated by Dyfed Powys Police.

Officers are appealing for information and witnesses to the incident which saw a Ford Escort car collide with a male pedestrian at approximately 2.30 am.

The pedestrian was taken to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, but has since been transferred to a hospital in Cardiff where his condition is said to be 'serious, but not life threatening'.

The road remained closed until shortly before 9 am while police carried out investigations into the collision.
